Independent Living Youth - "Just Do You" Day

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity of Florida A& M University is partnering with Big Bend Community Based Care & DISC Village Independent Living Program for a day of training, mentoring and fun activities. The event focuses on encouraging youth to live a positive and productive lifestyle. Community volunteers and staff from DCF, CHS, and Camelot will participate in this event. 2009 Spring Services Bazaar - March 20, 2009 - 10am-3pm
Leon Human Services Center - 1000 W. Tharpe St, Tallahassee

This is an opportunity for agencies throughout the Big Bend Community to provide information about their services, referral process and fees.  This event is geared towards professionals that work with children and families.  Agencies are invited to reserve a table at the Bazaar and/or attend and network with others.  To reserve a table or get more information contact Carol Edwards at 850-410-1020, ext.134.

Child Welfare 1st Annual Bake Off for Foster Parent Appreciation
Friday, March 20, 2009 - 11am-1pm

While attending the Services Bazaar, join us in this 1st Annual Bake Off as we raise funds to show foster parents in our community how much they are appreciated.  The event is open to all and tickets are $3.00 each to attend and sample the baked goods.  For Information Contact: Ariel McPherson at 575-6422.
